Heirloom Tomato Seeds
Believe it or not, NOW is the time to think about buying seeds if you have not saved your own.
I think I have found a really good source for heirloom tomato seeds. Cathy at Red Rosa Farm in Indiana currenty has 25 different varieties, and will soon be expanding the choice to 40 tomato seed varieties. Most of them can be found at their listing on LocalHarvest.com. I will be trying some of these varieties in 2009, starting them early, of course, and will report back on my findings after my taste buds have been put to work on the finished product. I will be trying the salad tomato varieties.
You can find out more about Red Rosa Farm at the Local Harvest.com site and see all the choices they offer. Their prices are reasonable.

Thanks, Becky!
Cathy here from Red Rosa Farm, which is actually in Indiana! Thanks for the plug, and for letting me know about this nifty site!
Will be glad to answer any questions about our tomato seeds -- we're just a small mom-and-pop farm but very dedicated to genetic diversity and to growing by natural methods (can't say the "o word" or USDA will be on us, as we choose not to be bureaucratically certified!). We are working up to some 40-50 great heirloom tomatoes, to provide seeds for our local community and beyond.
Local Harvest offers a lot of other great seeds from other small farms too -- so I urge folks to check us out!
Here's to a great growing season in 2009!
