composting using horse manure
hello, i have four horses on approx. 1.00 acre in a 'semi-urban' area...i am looking for a cost saving way to dispose of my horse manure and someone sent me to this website....i saw the 'ComposTumbler2 18 Bushel' device and was wondering if that would even work or be big enough to handle the amount of manure that four horses can make, or would i need 'more than one'....also, it's made out of cast iron and i didn't know if cast iron would stand up to manure very well over the long haul....(most metals don't last long)....
i am ignorant about composting but was told this 'device' makes it simple enough for even 'me' to use...ha!...
i would appreciate any advice i can get.
(right now, i'm paying for two extra 50gal. trash barrels to be hauled off using the local trash company, which picks up the two full barrels three times per week, at approx. $60.00/mo.)....just seems to me there should be a better way....

I sent you a lengthy email with lots of options. If you have any further questions, please feel free to write us. You can see our related articles on composting in our HOW TO book section.
When i do this, i always make sure that manure is well compose. I always make sure that it is clean and 100% organic without any chemicals in it.
